Mike Shelkin has over 20 years construction knowledge and experience. He is the founder of Shelkin Engineering PLLC. He graduated from Virginia Tech and received a master's degree in engineering from George Washington University.
Mike is a licensed PE in Virginia. With expertise in mechanical, electrical, plumbing and structural. Working for the Marine Corp. as a Senior Engineer he was in charge of the rebuild of the Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAV) currently displayed at the Marine Corp. Museum.
He built his own home in Alexandria with his own two hands. Holding a "Class A" contractor license. Committed to ensuring client relationships and gives attention to detail. His expertise spans both Commercial and Residential, new builds, remodels along with commercial fit-outs and builds. Providing all the client needs with turn-key operations.
Growing up in the Alexandria area, Mike enjoyed racing motocross winning many trophies and refurbishing Volkswagen bugs with his dad. In his free time he enjoys live music and spending time on the water with his three daughters and nine Grandchildren.
